Last month roughly 4,000 industry leaders for everything beach and water, dropped-in to Orlando, Florida for the 2015 Surf Expo. Since starting in 1968, MasterCraft Boat Company has maintained a highly regarded reputation within the boat and water-sport industry. For that reason, it came as no surprise to hear they would be in attendance at one of the largest and longest running, beach-lifestyle, trade-shows. After making a big splash with our custom set-up at the 2014 Expo, our friends at MasterCraft once again reached out to the Label crew to activate their booth.[/custom_font]
“Label Industries always loves displaying at Surf Expo, and being around so many creative booths, and people. It is even better when you are there representing a great brand such as MasterCraft. Surf Expo is a time to show off the hard work and designs that come from Label Industries. It is always gratifying when set up is done, and we get to to watch everyone’s response to all of our hard work.” — Co-owner of Label Industries Michael Branning
In years past, MasterCraft’s main attraction has been the display of their latest boat. However, for the 2015 Surf Expo, the MasterCraft and Label duo decided on a fresh idea– to create a co-branded, surf-LIFE, experience. MasterCraft, VonZipper, Sanuk, Hobie, and Futures, morphed together to build a booth that focused on the laid-back lifestyle of boating. After a hot, two-and-a-half-day set-up, the Brand Box was transformed into a soulful paradise.
]While the sleek X26 reeled in rightful attention–the sounds of good tunes, stimulating visuals, and the promise of free beer, lured admiring eyes to the MC booth. The VonZipper bar hosted a happy hour party, serving beer on tap for guests to kick back, and enjoy. Visitors had the chance to socialize on the Sanuk roof-top deck, and have an overhead view of other booths participating at the trade-show. Below deck at the Surf Shack the latest apparel, shoes, accessories, and boards were available for shoppers to peruse through, and purchase. To bring it all together, we provided casual lounging, accompanied by televisions showing the latest MasterCraft videos.
As always Surf Expo brought in big brands and familiar faces. Some special guests ventured through to say hello, including the founder of MasterCraft 1968, Rob Shirley, as well as many professional wake boarders– Steel Lafferty, Rusty Malinoski, Parks Bonifay, Josh Palma, and the legendary Zane Schwenk.
After weeks of planning, long days of setting up, and few days of fun, the 2015 Surf Expo went down as a success. A big thanks goes out to our friends at MasterCraft, as well as everyone at Sanuk, VonZipper, Hobie, and Futures.
